Consumers seek convenient ways to top up their phones, pay their bills and purchase tickets - the mobile top-up market alone is approaching 1 lac crore rupees per year. Retailers want to capture new streams of revenue from bill payment commissions and attract consumer footfalls to their stores without investing in infrastructure and building a proprietary payment gateway.
The Solution
We developed Onedesk as a user-friendly payment gateway that runs on any PC POS.
Convenience store owners can install Onedesk in minutes and immediately start selling mobile top-ups, bill payment and tickets through a uniform application, extracting commission revenue from each transaction and offering a valued new convenience to their customers.
High-traffic retailers like supermarkets can add a convenient new feature like mobile top up to drive customer repeat purchases – and earn commissions on every transaction.

Onedesk is integrated with all mobile operators for instant recharges; major utilities for bill payment; air, train, bus and movie operators for on-site ticketing – one single terminal creates a comprehensive point of sales for consumers.
“Virtual” inventory management: retailers need not pay for distribution and storing of various denominations of vouchers and coupons – all denominations are instantly delivered electronically to the customer.
Thin client architecture
The application is easily installed on any Windows-based PC – and unlike a web interface, it does not require high bandwidth online connectivity to complete transactions quickly. Designed to work optimally on a low memory/low storage device.
Rides on existing hardware
Retailers can install Onedesk on any Windows-based PC, and need not invest in additional hardware other than a thermal printer and magnetic stripe reader to start accepting payments.
Payment flexibility
Onedesk accepts cash or credit card payments for services; Pine Labs provides cash management solution and end-of-day settlement reporting.
How it works
Retailer installs Onedesk on PC POS and establishes connectivity using CDMA, VSAT, VPN or Plutus Secure
Customer chooses type of transaction and pays retailer.
Thin client communicates to Pluton gateway and routes transaction to individual biller platform
Retailer completes transaction and prints out charge slip, ePIN, ticket, etc.
Onedesk provides settlement and reporting to retailer.
